INFOSYS PAPER ON 1st MARCH AT DELHI
Hello friends, m Raghav from HMRITM pursuing B.tech in Information Technology. Infosys conducted a campus recruitment process at MAIT, Rohini on 1st & 2nd of march 2008. Four colleges participated in the campus drive - MAIT, GTBIT, GPMCE, & our HMR. Round about 800 students were eligible n sat for the test where 186 students were from our college, out of those 45 students cleared the written xam n finally 38 got through the interview...
In the test intially we were given an
application form which we had to fill up with utmost care consisting of all our
details.
The written test consisted of two sections-
1. Reasoning ability (30 ques., 40 min.)
2. Verbal ability (40 ques., 35 min.)
first section of reasoning ability
was a bit easy. consisted of
i). 5 ques on blood relations.
ii). 5 ques on puzzle test.
iii). 5 ques on Syllogism
iv). 5 ques on figure series.
v). 5 ques on Data Interpretation.
vi). and another 5 ques. (dont remember).
The second section was of verbal
ability.....was quite tough bt i did it with full concentration...
as it requires a good knowledge of english.... there were questions on sentence
correction, grammar, inference from paragraph and 2 long comprehension
passages... guys., always read the passages at the end as they take ur most of
the time...
For preparation of the written xam., just follow Verbal & Non-Verbal by R.S.Aggarwal.
Guys, dont forget ur ID card n photographs n certificates...even for the written., u need them...
The result was announced after 2-3
hours.Selected students were asked to wait for the interview.
I got through the written and was very happy cz written is most imp. for INFOSYS
n the interview is bit easier...
I was interviewed by a lady...
i enterd n ma'm asked me to have a seat...i thankd... then she strtd by asking
the meanin of my name n its significance...
i told her... then she askd me wats name of my colege n then askd me general
questions abt my family....
after that., she askd me about my achievements n extra curricular activities i
mentioned in my resume...
then she askd me to tell that day's newspaper headlines....
i apologised that i didnt read today's paper....
then she askd me to tell headlines for the day before....i told her...
then she askd me about the flashing news on news channels the day before...
i told her about the financial budget as it was declared the day before...
she was impressed..
then she just askd some general ques. and that was it...
Actually., they see how u speak., how u manage their ques. n how u deal with
them...
frnz., never lose ur confidence if u dont know something...
