Hello Frnds i m Nikhil Srivastava fm JSSATE(Noida),pursuing B.Tech(6th sem) in computers.
L&T infotech visited us for pool campus
placement at Maharaza Agrasen Institute of Technology,Rohini(Delhi).
24 colleges were invited... total of 1400 students appeared for the written
exam.
410 cleared the written and then 202 were able to clear the extempore round...
note:extempore round was the main elimination round...
finally HR round the very next day...and out of 202...131 students finally got
their offer letters...
Let me tell u the whole procedure as
followed:-
1) Written Test:-
it contained 90 questions and the time interval provided was 90 minutes...
there were 3 sets of question papers A,B and C...i got set B...
it has 3 sections
30-quantitative(rs agarwal) very easy juss needed little concentration while
solving these questions and be careful don't take more than 2 minutes to solve
any question leave it and go for the other questions...as the paper was very
lengthy...it has questions on profit&loss,time work,train,boat and
stream,alligation and mixture,clock,percentage,etc.
30-verbal and non verbal...it was also very easy...it contained DI (pie chart
frequency polygon etc...),figures,coding,blood relations etc...questions were
tricky ones...
30-english...word scrammble, antonyms, synonyms, passage,grammatical error
detection, word replacement in place of a phrase,etc...
no negative marking...no sectional cutoff so attempt all the questions...
2)Extempore or GD round...
it depends on the mood of HR's of the company for which round they prefer...
they preferred extempore for us...be careful it was the main elimination
round...
they wont provide u any topic u have to select a topic of ur own choice and
speak for 1 min...
be precise in what u speak and try to finish in 1 minute only else it ll be
counted as negative marks for u...
just be fluent in speaking...and dont try to humble with words...and dont repeat
the same sentence again and again and also concentrate on ur face expressions
while speaking...
dont move ur hands...u r not giving any presentation of any project many of our
group were rejected during the extempore coz or their extrasmartness while
speaking...
dont choose topics related to ur technical stream...if possible then try to
speak out on topic which any other cant even think off...
after extempore round those who r
selected have been given a L&T application form which we have to fill up...it
required to fill all the necessary information related to u...
be careful while filling the form...in the HR round questions ll be asked from
this form only...
note: for any preferred location write open for any location...
3)HR round...
it was held on the next day,i.e. on 21st April...
there were 5-6 panels of HR... it was merely tech cum HR... i was lucky...for me
it was only HR... they were very frndly...just be urself dont try to befool
them... be confident in wat u r saying
be prepared with the strong reason and instances for ur strengths and
weakness...
be prepared with one question it was asked to almost every one...wat do u know
about L&T infotech and why do u want to join it...how ll u feel if u get
selected in L&T today and how ll u feel if u get rejected????they ll
continuously try to confuse u...but be strong in ur views...
if u have an average academic record u ll definately be get selected in the HR
round...
